An Algorithm To Extract The Dynamic Part Of A Descriptor System

Abstract


The paper proposes a computational reliable algorithm to separate the dynamic and differential parts of a descriptor system. The main feature of our algorithm is the absence of any iterative calculus. So, it is an O(n^3) direct algorithm to solve the problem and avoids all the difficulties associated with the convergence of iterative methods (including those which use SVD, QZ and other iterative algorithms). Numerical results conclude the presentation.
