Abstract

In-queue flights are discussed in the paper, from the point of view of their situational optimization with respect to controllability and economy. The construction of an additive value function under strict certainty over the controllability and economy parameters is presented. Optimal flight parameters are defined by maximizing the value function over the multi-dimensional consequences. The focus is on the possibilities to apply situational optimization multiple times in the control of the queue, with respect to the occurrence of discrete events of different type. Schemes are developed to describe the process of optimization depending on the types of events and the required deviation from the current regime.
