Abstract
This paper with the design and analysis of some nonlinear and adaptive cotrol strategies capable to deal with the model uncertainties in an adaptive way for a class of nonlinear and time varying bioprocesses. The nonlinear controller design is based on the input-output linearizing technique. A realistic case study, which consists of a complex bioprocess resulting from the association of a recycling bioreactor with an electrochemicaal reactor, is fully analysed. Computer simulations are included to demonstrate the performances of the proposed controllers.
