Abstract: Fractional order PI^? control has no application with dsPIC microcontroller whereas the controller is used widely in the industry. For this reason, fractional order PI^? voltage / frequency (V/f) speed control of induction motor is realized with dsPIC30F4011 microcontroller for industrial applications. Integer order PI and fractional order PI^?controllers are optimized by using response surface methodology. Integer order PI and Fractional order PI^? controller results are compared. Although fractional order PI^? controller has complex algorithm its results are better than integer order PI controller.
